90th Anniversary

Our 90th anniversary began as a cool, cloudy day.  But by the time the service began, nearly 200 people crowded into our sanctuary.  The service began with the singing of several favorite hymns, led by Wanda Bourne and Vivian Giese.  The service was conducted by Pastor Fritsche.  Scripture was read by President Don Schiemann, and the sermon was given by Rev. Roland Kubke.  Pastor Kubke reminded the congregation that even though we are small and isolated, we are not alone.  God continues to have plans for us as we move ahead by faith.  Following the service introductions were made, guests brought greetings, a plaque was presented from the Alberta government and three members who are the same age as the congregation were honored.  A wonderful meal was then served by the ladies’ aid and a great afternoon of fellowship ensued.  Thanks to all who helped make this day a day to remember.
